Higher than the mast

Climbing became a family mater, well except for me as I am afraid of heights. So while they climb, I walk or take photos!

This was yesterday morning at the Cliffs at Kangaroo Point, only a very short hop away from Merlin.

These funny glasses allow you to keep you head straight and still check the climber while you are belaying.

Carrying our shopping

Growing kids means more food to buy ... and then more food to carry. Victor found another use to our neighbour’s wheelbarrow.

Night walk

In the evening, some people go and walk their dog along the board walk, I walk my wheelbarrow!

This is in fact the best way to carry, from the car park back to Merlin, our newly serviced lift raft!

White Rock

After all these days sitting and furiously studying, I had a strong need to slip on my hiking shoes again. Sunday was a perfect winter day to go and explore a new forest. This time, we added an extra requirement to our walk. We had to find some boulders so Victor, Cléa and Greg could climb and have fun on top of our 10km walk. White Rock seemed the perfect place to fulfil our requirements and was indeed a great place to explore.

Back in

Work done! Look at our neat props! We might sail faster next time we go out to the bay.

Before we splashed back in, we had the opportunity to visit Black Jack, a racing yacht which was next to us. Before arriving in Brisbae few years ago, Black Jack was Telefonica, one of the 70s from the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012.

All carbon and simplicity, from the deck to the galley.

Only few of the ropes

A very simple galley.

High tech chart table

35m mast which will be replaced soon by a longer fancier one.
