Victor et Greg forment une equipe de choc pour finir les travaux de peinture avant l'arrivee de la pluie malheureusement prevue demain. Alors que le ciel etait plutot bleu il fait aussi extremement froid (7 degres au petit jour). Emmitoufles dans leurs combinaisons et sous leur masque, ils se rechauffent comme ils peuvent avec des coups de rouleaux vigoureux.

Hauling out

It is time again to give Merlin a lot of attention for few days. We hauled out very early morning yesterday. I must say, there are less stressful ways to start your day than seeing your home fly up in the air and hear the creakings of the holding straps.

In the meantime, we are house-sitting. To Clea's big pleasure, it is a house with a cat and a turtle.

Les plaisirs de la riviere

L'un des grands plaisirs que nous avons a habiter sur la riviere de Brisbane est d'etre toujours aux premieres loges lorsqu'il y a un beau ciel. Pour feter l'arrivee officielle de l'hiver austral, le soleil et les nuages nous ont offert hier soir un beau spectacle.

Et puis ce matin, rebelote. Le ciel se part a nouveau de ses plus beaux atours pour nous enchanter des le petit dejeuner.

Climbing Australian Nationals (from Victor)

This week end, we had tons of fun at the Nationals/Oceanea Lead Climbing Championships in Sydney. I ended up coming 16th in Australia after unfortunately skipping a clip. Cléa came 12th (I think). Overall the place had a great buzz and it was fun chatting with the New Caledonian kids in French.
