River Exodus

Emergency call: more rain expected over Queensland, more water in the river, opening of the dam, really high tide. So, at lunch time, as many other boats, we decided to leave our city spot, and headed down stream to a marina, which is outside the river.

We are now safely tucked along a jetty in Manly, with no fears of debris or other boats bashing into Merlin. On our way down we were joined by all the local City Cats ferries, which are now moored near by. So, it was the right call.

We are all fine on board. Thanks everyone for your concern and kind emails

definitely the place to be! We are very relieved that you are out of the river area. Things seem to be going from bad to worse out there....

Hi Emmanuelle, Greg, Victor, Clea and Felix!

The big floods have made the news here in Canada too. Have been wondering about you and Merlin since first watching it on TV last night and seeing a few boats floating hopelessly down the muddy river.

So glad to hear you're all OK!

Happy Birthday!

Todd, Tara, Kaeli and Tyler
