Carnival in St Georges

Due to the heavy rains, the big parade of the Grenada's carnival was canceled last Tuesday and postponed to Saturday. We were in Grenada, so we went! This hot and sunny day was a perfect day for such a party.

Have you heard about GMT (= Grenadian Meridian Time)? So, the parade started 1 hour late.

Lots of music (REALLY loud soca music) and lots of people dancing. The parade was simpler than in Trinidad, less fancy costumes and less men. However, the vibe and the happiness of everybody around was still there.  The kids lasted 1h1/2.
