Cultural experience

Yesterday was played a very special rugby game in Brisbane. It was the Wallabies (national Australian team) vs the Lions (a rugby team with the best players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales). This game occurs only every 12 years in Australia.
The city cats speeding up and down the river were flying the Wallabies flag proudly for a couple of weeks already. But yesterday hundreds of red tee-shirts (worn by the Lions supporters) invaded the streets, the ferries and most of all the pubs.
There was such a festive vibe in the city and a new accent was heard everywhere.
We didn’t join the 50 000 spectators but watched on TV the Wallabies losing by 2 points against the Lions.
