Les Merlins, les Nika, les Grace et les Victoria:
Today we shared a taxi with Nika to go around San Cristobal and visit some special places. No seat belts and fresh air garanted.
Volcanic and luxurious landscapes. We went to El Junco Lagoon. The clouds were playing hide and seek so we couldn't enjoy fully the view of the crater. We discovered some endemic fauna and flora.
We visited the tortoise conservation center. The giant tortoises are endangered and a program started few years ago to try to rescue the different species of tortoises (there are 11 differents species in the Galapagos).
We then discovered a paradisiac beach and had a revigorating swim and played with the waves.
The heat was increasing and our stomach were getting empty. We went back to town and had a local meal in a tiny restaurant which serves only one dish.
Felix: "j'ai vu des iguanes de mer. Celui la a un sourire malicieux."
We spent the afternoon at the beach (with few other fellow cruisers). It is simply beautiful.
Victor: "l'otarie a des petite oreilles et marche avec ses membres palmes, le phoque n'a pas d'oreille et rampe"
"Ce matin, j'ai nage avecdes otaries"
